Welding Engineering
We offer technical support for high-level welding projects, helping with weld procedure qualification coordination, technical drawing reviews and technical bid evaluation. We also provide guidance on structural pipework to comply with UK, American and European engineering standards.
Manufacturing Processes
We offer specialist guidance and technical insight into the manufacturing processes of steel and alloy products for structural and mechanical engineering applications. Our experience encompasses the manufacturing of seamless and welded pipes, bars, plates, fittings, forgings, induction bends and tubing.
Vendor Auditing
We help manufacturers to attain the manufacturing standards required by Norsok M-650, BS EN ISO 17782 and API 6A CRA through a detailed auditing and technical support process. We also provide independent third party auditing and assessment services in accordance with Norsok M-650 and ISO 17782. We also support the compilation, maintenance and management of technical qualified manufacturers lists.

Derek Horsburgh is a highly skilled consulting metallurgist. Having worked as a consultant and in-house at prominent energy organisations in the UK, Europe and the USA throughout his career, Derek brings a wealth of experience to his work as Director at Cadence Engineering.
Having worked on high profile projects with clients including ExxonMobil and Worley Parsons, Derek’s is a respected name in the oil, gas and energy sectors. He has contributed to a number of national and international standard committees, including DNV-GL 0034, EEMUA 158, EEMUA 218, ISO 17781 and ISO 17782.
